These Terms of Service cover Intermountain Computer Services for in-home, in-office and in-store computer diagnosis, repair and installation services.

This includes to technology diagnosis, repair, installation, and any other service noticed on this website, general advertising, and in-store posting.

Service Warranty

If you are not satisfied with the services received from Intermountain Computer Services, please call (435) 896-4451 for assistance. If there is a problem with the service provided by any technician, and if you notify us within 14 days of the initial service performed, we will work to remedy your problem quickly and at no additional labor cost to you.

If repairs included a virus scan, spyware scan, or malware scan, this 14-day labor warranty is valid only if anti-virus and anti-spyware protection for your computer system was installed and updated during the entire warranty period.

Parts Warranty

Intermountain Computer Services provides a 30-day return policy for all equipment purchases excluding labor, special orders, software, digital subscriptions or content, consumable items such as batteries, items that are damaged or abused, or items that are missing accessories such as remote controls, cords or cables.

Aside from this return policy, the warranty for all purchases, if any, is provided solely by the original manufacturer.

PC Assembly Warranty

Iintermountain Computer Services provides a 1-year parts and labor warranty for custom assembled PCs, workstations and servers.

Scheduling

Intermountain Computer Services service hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 6pm, closed Saturday and Sunday. Additional charges may apply for emergency services or service outside of standard hours.

Trip Fees

Additional trip fees may apply for services rendered at locations that exceed 40 miles from Intermountain Computer Services.

If a technician drives more than a total of 80 miles round-trip, each additional mile beyond the first 80 will be billed at a rate of $1.50 per mile.

The total trip fee will be pre-calculated and disclosed prior to the run and will be charged to your account before our technician is dispatched. This fee is non-refundable even if the run is canceled due to no adult being present when our technician arrives.

Customer Responsibility

For in-home or in-office services, a person of at least 18 years of age must be present during the entire period services are provided. If no adult is present when the Intermountain Computer Services technician arrives, services will be denied and a $50.00 cancelation fee will be charged.

Intermountain Computer Services technicians are familiar in the protocols of computer hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and configuration, but are not official OEM authorized service technicians. Customers agree that by allowing the Intermountain Computer Services technician to have access to computer and networking equipment MAY VOID ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES covering computer hardware, software and any other associated parts or equipment.

The LOSS OF DATA IS A REAL AND INHERENT RISK and Customer agrees to have taken all necessary precautions by backing up all important, personal and proprietary data.

Cancellations

To cancel your in-home or in-office service request, you must contact Intermountain Computer Services at (435) 896-4451 at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled service. Cancelations that do not occur within this time frame will result in a $35.00 cancellation fee.

Abandoned Property

Due to space limitations, we request that you pick up your equipment promptly.

If equipment is left with Intermountain Computer Services and is not picked up, or is unable to be delivered, within 180 days after we notify you that the requested service is complete, we will treat your equipment as abandoned. You agree to hold Intermountain Computer Services harmless for any damage or claim for the abandoned property, which we may discard at our sole discretion. Any and all charges are still your responsibility.

Limitations of Service

Iintermountain Computer Services reserves the right to refrain from providing any or all requested services and instead refund your payment, wholly or in part, on the basis that your technical needs or other requirements are unusual or extensive and beyond the scope of this service agreement as reasonably determined by Intermountain Computer Services.

Limitations of Liability

Customers agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Intermountain Computer Services and the Intermountain Computer Services technicians from liability for any claims or damages of any kind or description that may arise directly or indirectly from the services performed.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree that Intermountain Computer Services’s total liability for damages related to its services is limited to the total amount you pay for the services, and you release Intermountain Computer Services from liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Intermountain Computer Services is not liable for loss, alteration, or corruption of any data or for your inability to use your computer equipment or other product.
